Family and celebrities reacted to the death of Ivana Trump. The first wife of former US President Donald Trump died Thursday at the age of 73.
“My heart is broken by the death of my mother. Mama was brilliant, charming, passionate and very funny,” her daughter Ivanka captioned an old photo of her and her mother on Twitter. “She made the most of life and never passed up an opportunity to laugh and dance. I will miss her forever and will always keep her in my memories and in my heart’.
Eric Trump, Ivana Trump’s youngest son, also posted on Instagram on behalf of himself, his sister and his older brother Donald Jr.: “Our mother was an incredible woman – a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty and a caring mother and friend’.
“Ivana Trump was a survivor,” he continues. “She fled communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about guts and perseverance, compassion and determination. She will be sorely missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”
A good and inspiring life
Her ex-husband Donald Trump, with whom she said she was “still in weekly contact,” posted a message to Truth Social shortly after her death, announcing her passing: “I am saddened by everyone who loved her, from who are many, to inform that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City. She was a wonderful, beautiful and wonderful woman who lived a good and inspiring life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!’
Fashion designer Domenico Vacca is ‘too sad to write anything. He posted a photo with Ivana Trump, which read: “I’m really sad and in pain. My beautiful Ivana, you left too early.”
Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and attorney for Donald Trump, tweeted: “Ivana Trump was a truly talented, creative and beautiful person. In particular, she has made a major contribution to New York. Remarkably, she and President Donald J. Trump, with the enormous distraction, have given the world exceptionally good, well-balanced and decent children and grandchildren.”
Donald and Ivana Trump married in 1977, but Ivana left her husband when it was revealed that he was having an affair. Together they had three children: Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric.
