Loosening the Hips on Afro-Latino

Ready for a weekend of swinging to the tropical beats of Afro-Latino in Genk† Headliners include Juanes, Rolf Sanchez and Willy William. This last French top DJ with roots in Mauritius has already worked with Beyoncé, Steve Aoki and Sean Paul. This year he is exclusive and for the first time in Belgium on Afro-Latino. By the way, the festival is moving from Bree to Thor Park in Genk, but it promises to remain fun for a while with tasty food trucks and cocktail bars, street actsworkshops and more.

Laughter Festival

The 35th Laughter Festival is in full swing in Houthalen-Helchteren† For five days, the municipality will be dominated by humor, with the Street Theater Festival as the highlight on Sunday 10 July. Throughout the day, street theater acts can be seen in various places in the center, from circus to improvisation and spectacle, such as Circus Marcel, Cie La Tal, Barbara Probst and others. Per-Q & White Wings provide a spectacular closing act.

Sint-Truiden Festival

Flanders Party on July 11 in Sint Truiden† The city and the associations of Aalst are joining forces to make it a fun evening with live performances by Mama’s Jasje, Jean et Les Flamands and Ahjaa! There are also tasty food and drink stalls and children’s entertainment.

Z(w)ing in Hasselt

On the Flemish Holiday you can come and celebrate at the Kolonel Dusartplein in Hasselt† Young and old are welcome to sing along with the likes of Lisa Del Bo, Luc Steeno and De Romeo’s during this family event. For the little ones there are bouncy castles and entertainment.

Spotting vintage cars at Herk-de-Stad Classic

About 250 old-timers will take part in the Herk-de-Stad Classic. The route is 73 kilometers long and is dominated by the Demer Valley, which includes the Schulensmeer and other beautiful places in Schaffen, Zelem and surroundings. You can still register for the ride on the day itself. Enthusiasts can view the old-timers on the Herk-de-Stad Market from 3 pm.

For the beer lovers

Beer lover? Then the Chantée Beer Festival is the event you should visit. You can enter the festival for two days Bilzen sample different beers from over twenty independent breweries. From local beers to beers from further afield. In the meantime, live bands will provide music and extra fun.

Between the walls of Alden Biesen

Between the walls of Grand Commandery Alden Biesen in Bilzen the special festival Intra Muros takes place. Young talented international musicians are given carte blanche to bring music from the Middle Ages to the 18th century to the general public. During the festival you can attend rehearsals, follow breakfast conversations and experience concerts in a unique historical setting.

Rage Against the Machine tribute on Torenlawijt

After two years, the free Torenlawijt festival can start Diepenbeek to return to normal. On July 8, there will be some heavy rocking with Bulls on Parade, the Rage Against The Machine-tribute band and other music groups. Willy Sommers will be a guest on 9 July to start the polonaise. And will play several other bands such as Miracle, the Queen tribute band and Nachos for Machos.

Peer Party for three days

For three days you can enter pear available for a variety of activities. On Saturday 9 July there will be a Kids Day with Bob the Builder where he will visit himself.
