Now Steven Spielberg with Dominion finished his dino trilogy, the prehistoric beasts are popping up everywhere. Even on the beach of Middelkerke, where the Sand Sculpture Festival is guided by Dinosaurs in the Sand

At the previous edition in 2021, about 4,000 tons of sand were used for the sculptures. Because the dinosaurs are such clappers, this time 2,000 tons more sand was used. This leads to more and even larger sculptures. In addition to ‘sculptures’ of the velociraptor, the stegosaurus and the T-Rex, visitors also walk past archaeological scenes. Children can enjoy workshops and an excavation zone and participate in special dino events.

The brand new festival site of more than 5,000 square meters is located on the beach near Arthur De Greefplein. You can spot dinosaurs in Middelkerke between 1 July and 11 September.
