BREDA – Night falls over Breda Jazz, and Breda is buzzing. There is a lively crowd around the stages. The squares are full, the streets are perfectly passable. The atmosphere is pleasant. The second evening is really far from over.
Yes, the outdoor stages pull the plug on performances around midnight. But in the Avenue, the official program continues until 4 a.m. with the Funky Friday Midnight Party (10 euros). Many other catering establishments are also open until then. Time enough for a jazz after
The surprisingly sunny second jazz day again attracts many visitors to the city center of Breda. The terraces are full all over the city. However, the second day cannot yet match Ascension Day in terms of crowds. During the opening day of the anniversary edition of Breda Jazz there were regular traffic jams, and you could, so to speak, walk over the heads.

Traditionally, prizes are awarded on the second day for up-and-coming jazz musicians. However, both the Kobe Jazz Street Award and the Rabobank Youth Talent Award skip a year.

Tips of the day
After the massively visited first day of the Breda Jazz Festival, the second day promises to be another spectacular. The Spanjaardsgat is celebrating a ‘Zydeco Party’ this afternoon with Tom Rigney & Flambeau and the River Zydeco Band. Tonight, among others, Wouter Hamel will perform in Ingenhousz.
